New Hohner Performing Artist!!!
Hi everyone! I hope you are all still safe and healthy. I am glad that there are several different vaccines out there and that it is available to the public. Though it is slow, I am staying positive about the world while doing my part to flatten the curve. I am patiently waiting my turn and not jumping ahead in line because I am not a high risk person. I’m definitely missing seeing people in person! … Anyway…
What a way to start the new year! I had decided not to renew my contract with the Easttop company towards the end of November. I was wondering what to do but ultimately looking for new opportunities. Because of the Pandemic halting most performing arts gigs and most musical instrument factories taking a hit to their profits and having to slow production, I was sure I would have to wait for the end of 2021 or 2022 for something to actually start up, again.
When Derek, at Hohner USA, contacted me about becoming a new Hohner artist I was floored! It’s been a dream to work with Hohner and I feel like this is going to be a great opportunity! I have had daydreams of visiting the Hohner factory in Trossingen, Germany, and taking part in the production and going through the repair/customizing program.
If you couldn’t tell, I’m a nerd about all things harmonicas. I love the history and details about the designs and same thing with other types of musical instruments. Hohner’s been creating new designs for well over 125 years. Every harmonica company is always compared to the legendary Hohner company. Wow…I could go on and on about this. I’ll end the post here.
Thank you to Derek and Drew at Hohner USA and everyone else that has helped me to get here!
